How it goes
From call to first fire
The same sequence on every job — the only variable is your project.
Day 0
The call
Ten minutes: the house, the hearth, what it burns, when anyone last looked up it. A slot inside the week, and a menu price named on the phone.
Day 1–5
The visit
Sheets down, HEPA on, camera down. You watch the flue walls on the monitor while the sweep runs — nothing about your chimney is described to you; it is shown.
Day 1–7
The report
Video file and written card: what was found, what was done, what — if anything — needs a second visit, priced off the menu before anyone books it.
If needed
The fix
Relines, dampers, crowns, pointing — scheduled from the footage, landed inside the fortnight in season, and drawn-tested or smoke-tested before we call it done.

Recent work, roof level
Sweeps, scans and masonry photographed the day they finished. The menu covers the visits; the camera covers the rest.
The inspector wanted a reline written into the purchase. Pinecart scanned it on the Tuesday, posted me the video that night — one cracked tile at the thimble, nothing else — and fixed the tile for less than the survey fee. The sale closed on their report and the thumbdrive is in the deed drawer.

Is $189 really the whole sweep?
Yes — brush, HEPA, the Level 1 inspection and the written card, per flue. Second flues on the same house run $95 each. If the camera finds something the menu does not cover, that is a separate price you approve before it happens, never a surprise on the invoice.
When do I need the $349 scan?
At any property sale, any fuel or appliance change, after any flue fire, and before believing anybody’s reline quote — including ours. It is the only way to see the parts of a chimney nobody can look up into, and the video travels with the house.
How often should it be swept?
Every burning year, minimum. A cord of seasoned hardwood deposits about an eighth of an inch of creosote; green or soft wood doubles that. The card grades what we pulled out and sets your interval from it.
Do you handle the masonry too?
Crown rebuilds, tuckpoint, firebox brick, chase covers and caps — all off the same card, usually scheduled from the scan footage without a second estimate visit. The $95 Look is the entry point and credits against any of it.
What is the 24-hour line for?
Anything burning that should not be, a flue fire’s aftermath, water suddenly coming down the flue, birds or blocked draft mid-season. Fire brigade first for flames; we take it from there, any hour, all burning season.
