Bellamy & Voss has cut counters in Quarrington for thirty-one years — quartz for the practical, granite for the unkillable, marble for the committed. Digitized templates, our own bridge saw, and every edge profiled at the bench by the same two names that are on the sign.

The shop on Halstead Row
Two bench hands, one bridge saw, one CNC and a slab rack that holds forty bundles. We fabricate for three kitchen studios on the coast and sell direct to everyone else, at the same rates either way. The person who templates your kitchen is the person who sets the stone.
The remeasure is ours
If a Bellamy & Voss top does not fit, the recut, the stone and the second visit are ours. It has happened four times in thirty-one years, and we paid for all four.

What leaves the shop

Quartz counters — $68–90 / sq ft
Three-centimetre engineered quartz, non-porous and never sealed. Digital template in the price, edges eased or mitered, and joints placed where the cabinets — not the offcut rack — say they belong.

Granite counters — $62–84 / sq ft
Three-centimetre granite, polished or leathered to order. It leaves with a fifteen-year impregnating sealer and takes a hot pan the way quartz politely will not.

Marble & soapstone — $86–118 / sq ft
Two or three centimetres, bookmatched where the run allows, soapstone oiled to a deep charcoal on our bench before it ever travels.

Edges, upstands & repairs — from $18 / linear ft
Mitered aprons, ogee and bullnose run at the bench; chips and burns in existing stone ground out and colour-matched until the incident is a rumour.
What we do
Three ways a counter happens
The remodelled kitchen
Quartz over new cabinets, templated the morning the carpenters left and installed before the floor protection came up. The mitered island apron is cut from the same slab as the field, so the grain runs through the corner without a break.
The period restoration
Carrara for a 1911 butler's pantry, drawn from photographs and cut to the original scullery dimensions. Undermount basins in marble need a proper reveal — we rout the cutouts oversize and polish the underside nobody will ever see.
The working counter
Granite for a cook who actually cooks: a leathered face to hide fingerprints, a full-height upstand instead of a silicone bead, and a rounded arris on every exposed edge for the elbows of anyone under ten.
The shop, in figures
The conservation officer wanted the pantry "as found", the architect wanted it square, and the house offered neither. Bellamy & Voss templated around a chimney breast that leans four millimetres, bookmatched the veining across two slabs, and matched an edge profile they had to grind by hand because nobody has stocked it since the fifties. It looks like it was always there — which is the hardest thing you can ask new stone to do.
