The wall card
The whole card, homeowner and contractor the same number. One caveat painted on the market wall: anything within sight of brickfield dust or road salt gets its seams drawn before the blade is chosen, and the drawing is the contract — no exceptions, no surcharges for signing it.

The same sequence on every job — the only variable is your project.
Saturday
The slab market
Racks open from seven, prices on the card, coffee on the bench. You point; the reserve goes on; we photograph the face so the slab you chose is the slab that arrives.
Within the week
The laser template
Two hours in your kitchen on the existing tops — walls that bow, corners that lean, all of it read to ±0.25 mm, with the seam drawing signed on screen.
Weeks 1–2
The shop behind the racks
The file drives the CNC twenty steps from where you chose the slab. Mitered pairs clamp overnight; the setters who will land it watch it come off the saw.
Install day
The set
Old tops off and receipted, stone levelled, seams closed at 1.6 mm in tinted epoxy. The kitchen is a kitchen again by three.
The card said seventy-one. The invoice said seventy-one. I have bought countertops twice before in my life, and this was the first time my jaw did not drop at the end of it.
Half a slab off the Friday remnant list, cut the same week, forty percent off the card — two vanities and a window sill, and they still sealed the stone before it left the shop.
They templated on Tuesday with a laser that looked like a robot vacuum, and the marble landed Friday week. The seam sits inside a grey vein and I cannot find it with a fingernail.

Why publish your rates?
Because every shop in the county has a rate card in a drawer; ours is just where you can see it. If your job is unusual — a five-metre single slab, a stone we do not stock — the quote says so before you sign anything.
What is a remnant, exactly?
The offcut left when a big job uses a slab down past half. Same stone, forty percent off, ideal under about three metres — vanities, sills, bench tops. The rack turns over monthly and the Friday email list is the day to dig.
Do you do plumbing or electrical?
No. We cut stone, and we cut it well. We will hold the sink cutout template so your plumber is guessing at nothing, and we will coordinate the morning with whoever you hire.
What is included in the install?
Setting, levelling, epoxy-coloured seams, silicone at walls and sinks, and the old top out of your house. Tap holes and cooktop cutouts are cut in the shop, never on your floor.
How fast?
Template within a week of the signed card, install about fourteen days later. The kitchen itself is down for exactly one day — and remnant jobs sometimes go out the same week, because the stone is already standing on the rack.
