A rate you can plan a build around
Every number on the wall includes the operator, the fuel and the insurance. Travel inside sixty miles of the Bramble yard is free, the meter starts when the tracks touch your site and stops when they leave, and the hours go on a sheet you sign at the end of each day. Mini excavator to 8-tonne, dozer, skid steer, roller and water truck — all ours, none brokered.
The four-hour minimum, in writing
One machine for half a day or the whole fleet for a season — either way the minimum is four hours per machine per day, printed on the same sheet you sign. No mobilization surprise, no fuel surcharge that appears after the invoice.

The rate wall
Last season's rates, and the same wall anybody gets. Four-hour daily minimum per machine; multi-week digs price down, not up, because a machine that is already on your site costs nobody a truck move. Rock, groundwater and buried concrete get quoted before the bucket touches them — never billed after.

Recent digs
Six holes from the last two seasons, shot at rough grade or at handover. Nothing staged — a finished dig is a finished dig, and the proof of one is that the inspector signed it.

The people above the holes
Eleven building pads in one autumn, every one graded to the drainage plan and compacted with the density report stapled to the invoice. Our structure contractor said it was the first set of pads he did not have to have re-shot.
They cut us a three-quarter-acre pond in clay, packed the core in six-inch lifts, and it held full on the first February fill — exactly what the old-timers said it would not do. The rate wall is real too: the invoice matched the sheet I signed, to the hour.
A forty-year culvert under our gravel road failed in the spring thaw. Kroyer had the trench open, the new pipe bedded and the base compacted in two days, and they filed the locate ticket before the excavator left the yard. Township engineering had zero notes.

The five we get on every first call. If yours is not here, the yard line at the bottom of the page runs six to five, Monday to Saturday.
Is the four-hour minimum per machine or per day?
Per machine, per day. Two machines for three hours each is billed as two four-hour minimums — the crew, the truck move and the fuel are real whether the bucket moved for one hour or eight. Multi-day bookings price down; ask on the call and the discount goes on the sheet before you sign it.
What happens when you hit rock?
The machine stops and you get a call, not a bigger invoice. Hydraulic breaker work runs at the same hourly rate as the bucket, quoted ahead in writing if the geotech or the neighbourhood says rock is likely. We never hammer first and negotiate after.
Do you haul the spoils away?
Yes — tandem dump at $118 an hour loaded, 22 tonnes per trip, anywhere inside the sixty-mile radius. Clean topsoil gets screened and stockpiled on your site unless you tell us to truck it; that is fill you already paid to move once.
Who calls the utility locate?
We file the 811 ticket a minimum of 72 hours before any tracks roll, and the locate numbers go on the job sheet. Your private lines — well, septic, invisible fence — are yours to mark, and we will walk them with you on day one.
Do you work through the winter?
We dig until the frost locks the ground, then we rip it. Frost penetration past 18 in runs the ripper tooth and slows production, and the hourly rate does not change — winter work is quoted on thickness, not season.
