Foundation repair & basement waterproofing · Cedar Bluff & the Karst Line · Est. 1989

Cracks do not heal. They keep notes.

Every crack in a foundation wall is movement leaving a record. Iverson reads the record — urethane and epoxy injection for cracks that weep, carbon-fiber staples for walls that bow, helical piers for footings that have lost their bearing — and then the record stops growing. Written surveys, prices by the foot and by the pier, and not one scare-tactic photo on the whole page.

2,100 walls read since 1989 · every repair starts with a $285 survey that comes off the bill · (555) 019-4417

Iverson Structural · the Karst Line

The diagnosis is the job

We will not sell you a repair before we have read your house. Marta Iverson runs a laser elevation profile of the slab, gauges every crack wider than a dime and strings the walls that lean — then you keep the document, whether you hire us or not. A repair bought without a diagnosis is a guess wearing a warranty.

Twenty-five years, transferable

Every helical pier we torque carries a twenty-five-year warranty that transfers to the next owner — refusal torque does not care who lives above it. Injection and staple repairs carry ten, in writing on the survey.

Services

The four repairs, in plain words

01

Injection — epoxy and urethane

Ports bonded along the crack, low pressure from the bottom up. Epoxy glues structure back together; urethane seals the ones that weep and flex. A 38 ft crack is one visit, and the wall stops taking on water the same day.

02

Carbon-fiber staples

For walls bowing inward up to two inches: slots cut across the failure, steel-replacement staples epoxied in, the field skimmed flush. Ten times the stiffness of surface straps — and it disappears under paint.

03

Helical piers

When the footing itself has lost bearing — Karst Line soil does this — steel shafts are screwed to load-bearing strata and bracketed to the footing one at a time. You get the torque log, the engineer reads the torque log, the wall holds.

04

Perimeter drains & sumps

A channel cut inside the footing, collection at every cold joint, and a sealed sump with a battery-backed pump. The basement stays dry with the grade untouched — no excavation, no ruined flowerbeds.

Word of mouth

Neighbours with dry floors

Two outfits quoted us eleven piers from the driveway. Iverson spent two hours with a laser and a gauge, said the stair-step crack was thirty years of settlement that had already stopped, and injected eleven feet of it. A tenth of the pier quote — and the document they left is in my filing cabinet.
Rosa Delgado · Crack injection, Grennel
The north wall had bowed two inches and the door had not closed since 2016. Six piers and a row of staples later, the re-measure reads plumb and the door latches with one finger. They handed us the torque log in a binder.
The Brandt family · Underpinning, Karst Line
Twice a year the cold joint wept across the whole floor. They cut the perimeter drain, set the sump, and two springs later the dehumidifier stays unplugged. The crew rolled the floor protection out to the street every night.

Before you call

Fair questions

The five every first call asks. If yours is not here, the shop line at the bottom of the page runs seven to five, Karst County wide.

How do I know if a crack is structural?

Width, direction and movement. Hairline verticals that have not changed in a decade are usually shrinkage; stair-steps in block, horizontal bows, or anything wider than a dime get gauged and string-lined before we say a word. That is what the survey is for — and why it comes off the repair bill.

Will you have to excavate my yard?

Almost never. Injection, staples and interior perimeter drains all work from inside. Helical piers are driven at the footing with a machine small enough to fit through a gate; the average job disturbs less ground than the flowerbed it sits in.

How long does an injected crack stay fixed?

Epoxy cures harder than the wall around it — when the repair is right, the concrete fails somewhere else first. Urethane flexes with seasonal movement, which is why it goes on active cracks. Both carry a ten-year warranty in writing.

Can we finish the basement afterwards?

Yes, and we will tell you honestly whether you should. Dry walls plus a drain means finish away. A wall still bowing means finishing hides the one thing that needs watching — we say so and lose the upsell.

What does the twenty-five-year warranty cover?

Every pier we torque, against further settlement of the supported wall, transferable to the next owner at no charge. The torque log and the bracket spec are yours to hand over with the house.
