What we look after
01
Furnaces & the heat exchanger question
Repair or replace is a diagnosis, not a mood: we scope the exchanger, print the combustion numbers and tell you plainly when a $290 part beats a $5,800 furnace — and when it does not.
02
Heat pumps & mini-splits
Sized by Manual J and installed by the same two people who quoted them. Ducted systems for whole houses, single- and multi-zone ductless for additions, garages and the room that has never been comfortable.
03
Ductwork & airflow
The hidden half of every system. We measure static pressure, seal what leaks and balance what starves — because a right-sized unit on bad ducts is a good engine on flat tires.
04
Maintenance, twice a year
A spring visit for cooling and a fall visit for heat, every year, on our schedule and our reminder — members get the first warm week and the first cold week, before the phones get busy.
The portfolio
Recent valley work
Our furnace quit the night before Thanksgiving. They came at 8 p.m., charged the daytime rate, and were back Monday to double-check the repair for free. Eighteen years in, the promise is still the promise.
They sealed and re-balanced our ducts before touching the equipment — and the upstairs bedroom stopped being ten degrees different. Then a right-sized heat pump, installed in a day by the same crew who quoted it.
Hearthside plan member for five years. The fall visit caught a cracked ignitor every other company would have sold me a furnace over. They showed me the part, showed me the numbers, charged me the member rate.
The plans
Maintenance, priced like everything else

Before you call
It is 9 p.m. and the heat just died. Form or phone?
Phone — (555) 372-6641. A person answers, talks you through the thermostat and breaker checks while the truck rolls, and quotes the flat repair price before anyone opens a toolbag. The rate is the daytime rate.
How can you afford never to charge overtime?
Because we staff for January instead of being surprised by it. Evening calls are the job we planned for, not a windfall — and a valley that trusts us calls us for the next twenty years, which is worth more than one padded invoice.
Repair or replace — how do you actually decide?
Combustion efficiency, heat-exchanger condition and equipment age, measured on the spot. Under $500 of repair against a working exchanger: repair. A cracked exchanger or a 30-year-old furnace at 65% efficiency: replace, and we will say which figure decided it.
What do the plans actually cover?
The tune-ups, priority scheduling and repair discounts listed above — and nothing hidden. Parts, refrigerant and major repairs are billed at the member rate, quoted flat first. Cancel whenever; nothing claws back.
Do you service what other companies installed?
Yes, gladly — half our maintenance members started as second opinions. First visit is a full diagnostic with the numbers printed, so we are both looking at the same house.
Cold tonight? Warm by ten.
Emergencies: (555) 372-6641, answered around the clock. Everything else starts here — a real reply from a real technician, same business day.
