The build, honestly
Five stages, five exit tests
The same sequence on every package — the only variable is your yard. Each stage ends with a test we sign before the next one starts.
Walk & fix
The yard is paced, access read, the package price fixed on paper. Excavation risk is priced here or it is not priced at all.
Dig & form
One machine, one truck cycle, boarded overnight. Spoils hauled the same day; the gate shuts behind us.
Shell
Steel and shotcrete for gunite — then 28 days of cure, hosed and covered, counted on the contract calendar. Vinyl gets panel walls and a measured liner track.
Tile & pad
Waterline set dead level, coping laid, equipment piped and wired, controller commissioned dry.
Fill & handover
Hose, filter, first balance, the as-built folder on the counter — and the fill date on the contract is the date the hose ran, or the delay is ours and priced accordingly.
2025 season
Last summer’s fills
Six pools poured, cured, tiled and filled between April and June last year. The owners drink coffee on these decks most mornings — ask us for an introduction and bring your questions with you.
The contract said fill by June the eighteenth and the hose ran on the sixteenth. Package price never moved, the crew chief answered his own phone, and the first service visit happened before the pool had finished warming. This is not how we expected it to go.
Second pool, second company, first time nothing went wrong. The vinyl package was priced in April and paid in August at the same number. Our first builder talked design for six weeks; Copperfin talked access, spoils and fill dates for forty minutes and got all three right.
Before you call
Straight answers, shore edition
What is the fill-date promise, exactly?
The contract names the week the hose runs. If we miss it by more than seven days and the delay is ours, the contract credits $200 for each working day past the window. It has paid out twice in twenty-eight years, which is why we still print it.
Can we swim by the Fourth?
Most years, yes, if the contract is signed by the end of March — the cure calendar is the long pole, and it does not care about holidays. Sign in May and we will tell you honestly to aim for Labour Day instead.
Why three packages and not a design service?
Because ninety percent of shore yards want a version of the same good pool. The packages cover the shapes, the equipment and the finishes people actually choose; the remaining ten percent we happily custom-price after a site walk.
Do you service pools other companies built?
Yes — the plans are for any pool. The first visit is an audit of equipment and water, you get the readings before the invoice, and if the last company left something silly under the deck we will show you a photograph of it.
