One week, four moves
Quote it flat
Measured wall, counted openings, one price per foot. If the number moves, you changed the board — nothing else moves it.
Close it in
Tear-off, sheathing repair, wrap, tape, flashings — watertight by nightfall, every night of the job.
Hang it loud
Starter to a laser, blind-nailed on gauge, 10 mm rain-screen gap, the two-tone line struck with a chalk snap before a board is cut.
Walk it clean
Magnet sweep, touch-up kit, both warranties filed the same week. The truck leaves, the wall stays.
The day-it-says guarantee
The crew shows up on the day the schedule says, or the labor line drops five percent a day it is late — printed on the quote. In eleven seasons it has paid out twice, both times weather, both times with pictures.
Why two-tone works
Loud walls, quiet process
A two-tone hang is the same wall as any other — wrapped, flashed, rain-screened, blind-nailed to gauge — with one extra decision at the curb. We strike the color line with the scaffolding up, before a board is cut, because the only expensive color is the wrong one at week two.
Every house on our street is some version of beige. We asked for charcoal and chalk and Maverick did not blink — they set the corner sample against the brick and said "that one." Three neighbors have copied it since, and the junction hardware store stocks the trim color now.

Showed up the day the schedule said, which around here is a testimonial on its own. Two-tone Hardie, chalk trim, done a day early. The magnet sweep found two screws in the lawn and they knocked on the door to tell me.
The May hail total wrote off the west face. They photographed every strike, wrote the scope in the adjuster’s format, and the check covered a two-tone full re-side instead of a patch. The wall is louder and better than the one it replaced.
They talked us out of a third color and a fancy batten spacing, then charged exactly what they quoted. Two colors, one line, done — the street looks re-set.
Before you call
Why two colors?
Because a field and a trim do everything a third color promises and none of what it costs. The trim line is struck at the window heads and the soffit — drawn with the scaffolding up, before a board is cut. Three colors needs a designer; two needs a level and an opinion, and we bring both.
How loud can the field color go?
Louder than you think — factory finishes hold saturation where site paint chalks. The brake on the plan is the street and the resale, and we will tell you which side of that line your favorite is standing on. The firehouse got safety red; your kitchen window gets a vote too.
What is inside the per-foot price?
Tear-off, dumpster on planks, sheathing repair priced ahead, wrap, tape, flashings, fasteners, scaffolding, both coats where site-sprayed, the sweep and the touch-up kit. One number times the measured wall.
Can you match the house the storm totaled?
Usually — the common profiles and colors are still run. When the honest match is gone we re-side the full elevation and say why at the measure: a patch that reads like a patch costs you twice, once at the curb and once at the closing.
What about winter?
We hang to a line: fiber cement goes on with cold-weather caulk and a heated cut tent down to freezing, and the wrap and flashings go on in anything. Frozen-joint caulking days hold the calendar, printed as buffer — no surprises, no upcharge.
