Solar design studio · Sableridge & the coast · By appointment

Every roof has an angle. We start there.

Azimuth designs residential arrays the way a studio designs a building — azimuth and tilt studied before a single panel is specified, hardware you would not mind looking at, and a production model you can interrogate line by line.

How we work

A studio, not a sales floor

No commissioned salespeople, no door canvass, no expires-Friday pricing. The designer who flies your roof writes the production model, draws the permit set and stands behind the number at the punch walk — one name on the study, the same name on the warranty.

Drawn, modelled, guaranteed

Every Azimuth contract carries its own production model — year-one output to the kilowatt-hour, floored at 95%. A miss is bought back at your net-metering rate; a sizing miss is fixed with hardware. The model is the drawing, not the small print.

Services

What we specify

01

Low-profile rooftop arrays

All-black modules on hidden rail, flashed into the roof plane and lined up to the ridge like they were drawn there. Most coast houses take 6 to 12 kW; the study decides, never the catalogue.

02

Battery & backup

LFP storage sized to the circuits that matter — well pump, fridge, medical, wifi — with a transfer scheme that passes inspection the first time and runs silent on the garage wall.

03

Ground arrays & pergolas

Where the roof faces the wrong way, the array becomes a structure: piers, steel, panels doubling as garden shade. The production model prices roof and ground side by side, honestly.

04

Care & monitoring

The production app, an annual wash and torque visit, and a year-one guarantee of 95% of the model. Underperform because we sized it wrong and the fix arrives on our invoice.

The coast says

Quiet roofs, loud numbers

The study arrived as a booklet — sun paths, shade hours, two array options, month-by-month kilowatt-hours. We picked the smaller one and it has beaten its model both years since. The panels look like they were part of the original build.
Ingrid Halloran · 6.8 kW rooftop, Sableridge village
Our roof faces the wrong way and every other outfit quoted it anyway. Azimuth moved the array to a garden pergola, priced the steel honestly, and the pool pump now runs on afternoon sun.
Dr. P. Aslan · 9.5 kW pergola array, Coast Road
Two power cuts in one winter and the battery carried the house so smoothly we opened the app to be sure it had happened. The transfer scheme was drawn, permitted and inspected — nobody shrugged at any step.

Before the study

Fair questions

The five we get on every first call — half of them about power cuts. The studio line below answers between eight and six, coast-wide.

What does the roof study cost?

Nothing. It is the sales process done properly: drone flight, shade model, a month-by-month production estimate and a fixed quote, bound into a booklet you can take to any installer. If another installer beats the number, take our study with you — it will still be right.

Will panels change how the house looks?

They will look deliberate. All-black modules sit low on hidden rail, aligned to the ridge and the eave the way trim is. Half the coast homes in our portfolio were drawn by an architect who cared about this more than the payback.

What happens during an outage?

A grid-tied array goes down with the street, by code, unless storage is specified. With an LFP cabinet the circuits you list ride through — well pump, fridge, medical, wifi — and the app shows the switchover in real time, because it is that boring.

How honest is the production model?

It carries the coast's fog weeks, month by month, and it is floored at 95% for year one in the contract. Fleet-wide we hit 96.1% — a number we publish because the monitoring platform audits it, not us.

Do you handle permits and the utility?

All of it: the permit set, the interconnection filing, the inspection, the meter swap. You sign twice — the contract and the utility form — and the study booklet holds the dated sequence between them.
