Parete Finish Studio · Stucco, EIFS & mineral colour · Lago Verde & the Ontero shore · Est. 2015
Colour that lives in the wall, not on it.
A modern finish studio: integral pigments batched one per elevation, mineral silicate re-colours that bond instead of peel, EIFS renewed by the moisture map, and expansion joints drawn where the structure steps — plotted before the first trowel lands. Sample panels cure on your wall for twenty-eight days, because the shore light decides the batch and nothing else does.
Integral colour vs paint
Why the studio batch-integrals
A painted wall is a wall wearing a coat; an integral wall is a wall wearing itself. Pigment mixed through the finish at the mixer means through-colour, vapour-open surfaces that touch up without a border and age by matting instead of peeling. One batch per elevation means no stop-line will ever show — and the joints go where the structure steps, because movement ignored is just a crack waiting for its appointment.

How the studio runs
Consult to handover, in five
The same five movements on every job, one crew the whole way through — the calendar between them belongs to the coats, not to the booking sheet.
The consult & the scan
Moisture readings at trim, corners and grade; the joint survey drawn; the colour read in the light your wall actually lives in. The panel is mixed before we leave.
The mock-up panel
Twenty-eight days on your wall, through shore weather. The batch answers to the cured panel — wet stucco lies about its colour and we do not guess.
Water details & lath
Flashings, kick-outs and sills corrected first; then paper, weep screed and furred lath. Coating over a leaking detail is a scheduled disappointment.
The coats, on their clocks
Scratch rests two days, brown is rodded true and rests seven, colour floats in one wet edge per elevation. The shore wind gets a fog cure.
Cure, wash-down, handover
The wash-down a week after colour, the joint survey signed off against the drawing, and the twelve-year warranty in your name.

Finished walls
Six elevations from last season, photographed the week the scaffold came down.
They drew the expansion-joint survey before they quoted — turns out the cracks we were colour-washing every spring were the wall asking for two joints nobody cut in 1974. Joints in, colour in, and for the first time in a decade the spring came and went without a single new line.
One batch, one wet edge, one elevation — our north wall is forty feet of uninterrupted colour and the architect who designed the house asked for the studio’s name. The panel sat on the porch for a month before they mixed anything, and it was worth every day.
The scan found the EIFS damage was a flat sill feeding water into sound foam — a five-foot problem, not the re-skin the other bid priced. They corrected the sill, renewed exactly what the map condemned, and the insulation stayed on the house. The texture match has fooled two painters.

Fair questions
What does integral colour cost over paint?
Roughly a third more on the day it goes on, and then it stops costing. A film needs washing, patching and eventually stripping on a five-to-eight-year cycle at the shore; an integral colour is recoated in fifteen to twenty by washing and rolling — there is nothing to peel, so there is nothing to strip. The studio will quote both and has not once had the painted wall come back for round two.
Why one batch per elevation?
Because stucco colour lives in the batch, and two batches of the same formula will differ by a shade you can see at dusk. One batch, floated in one continuous wet edge, is the only way a forty-foot wall reads as one wall. Split the batch and you get a stop-line that no amount of weather ever softens.
Mineral or elastomeric re-colour?
Mineral bonds chemically into the render and ages by matting — the shore choice wherever the substrate will take it. Elastomeric bridges hairline movement and sheds driving rain, which suits parapets and exposed gables better. Most houses here end up with both, each where the exposure says it belongs.
Can the EIFS stay on my house?
When the moisture map says the foam is dry, absolutely — it is insulation you already own, and renewing the skin beats demolishing it. When the readings show saturation across an elevation, partial repair is money spent twice, and we will say so before you can sign for the cheaper wrong answer.
How far out is the season?
Four to six weeks for lays in high season, repairs and re-colours inside two. The consult happens the week you call and the panel starts curing that day — the panel is the long pole on every job, which is exactly why it starts first.
