File 001 · Krav Maga & self-defence · Adults, women, professionals
Calm is a skill. We teach it.
Krav Maga and practical self-defence for adults, women and professionals — taught like a technical discipline by instructors who have used it for real. No ego, no bravado, no experience required.
Three hundred milliseconds is roughly how long a trained response takes — faster than the thought that something is wrong. Untrained, the same moment is a flinch and a freeze. Everything on this page exists to close that gap.

01FoundationsTwelve weeks that teach the body what the mind already knows: stance, movement, how to strike, how to get out of the most common grabs, and how to recognise trouble before it starts. Most of our members began here with no experience at all.Adults · All levels · Mon · Wed · Fri · Sat
02Women’s self-defenceA small, women-only course taught by women. Trauma-informed, never graphic, and nobody is ever surprised from behind.Women only · Eight weeks · Tue · Thu
03Advanced Krav MagaMultiple attackers, weapons defences, fighting from the ground and under fatigue. Scenario work with pressure, protective gear and a coach watching every pair. The class where calm becomes a reflex.P3 and up · Instructor approval · Tue · Thu

Curriculum
Five practitioner levels, then Graduate.
Practitioner 1
Stance, movement, straight strikes and the first releases. Three months.
Practitioner 2

Practitioner 3
Ground survival, headlocks and bear hugs. Advanced class opens.
Practitioner 4
Stick and knife threats, fighting from disadvantage, two attackers.
Practitioner 5
Third-party protection, weapons under stress, scenario leadership.
Graduate

Maya Feldman
Lead instructor · Expert level 2 · Former ER nurse
Twelve years in emergency rooms taught her exactly what goes wrong and how fast. Teaches Krav Maga the way she triaged: calmly, in order of what matters. Founded Forge in 2014.
Darius Cole
Law-enforcement & security lead · Graduate level · Former security consultant
Fifteen years training door teams, close-protection staff and hospital security. Believes the best fight is the one you talked your way out of, and teaches that first.
Hana Lindqvist
Women’s program lead · Expert level 1 · Psychologist
Runs the women’s course and the teen program. Trauma-informed by training and by temperament; nobody is grabbed, surprised or pushed past what they came for.
Readout
What eleven years look like in numbers.
I came in terrified of being grabbed. Twelve weeks later I know exactly what I would do — and I have done it against a man twice my size wearing pads.
No chest-beating. Everyone is calm, everyone is careful, and you leave every class knowing more than you did.
As a paramedic I wanted skills I could actually use on a call. The scenario work is the closest thing to the real street I have ever trained in.

Questions
Before your first class
Questions people ask before their first class
Will I get hurt?
You will work hard and you may get a bruise from pad work; that is the extent of it. Contact is controlled, protective gear is provided, and an instructor watches every pair. In eleven years we have never called an ambulance.
How fit do I need to be?
Fit enough to walk in. Classes scale to you — you set the pace of every drill, and fitness arrives as a side effect of training, not a requirement for starting.
Is this really for women?
Sixty-two percent of our members are women, the women’s course is taught entirely by women, and every mixed class is run with the same care. Nobody is ever grabbed or surprised without agreeing to the drill first.
I have no experience. Is that a problem?
It is the normal starting point. Foundations assumes nothing; most of the people in your first class started within the last three months.
What should I wear?
Comfortable training clothes and clean indoor shoes. We lend gloves, pads and shin guards for your first month.
Is there contact in the first class?
Light pad work with a partner, at a pace you choose. Nobody spars in Foundations, and nobody is put on the ground until they have learned how to get up.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Tuition is month to month, you can freeze at any time, and the women’s course is a single payment.
Intro session
